Motorsport has always been a big part of my life following V8 Supercars (Australian Touring Cars), Formula 1, MotoGP and various Rally events. We are lucky in Australia to have such a diverse range of motorsports available playing on some of the best tracks in the world, with Bathurst, the Adelaide Street Circuit (when it was the F1 track it won 8 of 10 times best track by the F1 drivers), a bunch of really cool tracks in Supercars, and the latest addition, The Bend Motorsports Park, being the 2nd biggest track in the world after Nürburgring which is just massive!
We are also blessed to have such amazing drivers who are reaching the pinacles of motorsports at home and internationally. As Australians we have always punched above our weight in all sports but motorsport, with its high cost and few available seats, we have given the world something to look out for. Greats that have made it locally and abroad such as Brabham, Jones, Gardner, M. Doohan, Webber, Ricciardo, Stoner, Miller, Piastri, J. Doohan, (our cousins in Mclachlan & SVG), plus multitudes in other catagories. Just amazing and a testament to our dedication and determination in sporting endevours.
